Judge Pedro Colón has served on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court since 2010 and is currently Presiding Judge of the Civil Division. On June 20, 2023, Governor Tony Evers appointed Judge Colón to fill a vacancy on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals District I, beginning November 2023. Judge Colón is running for a full six-year term on the court, the election will be held on April 2, 2024.
Judge Colón graduated from Marquette University and University of Wisconsin Law School. Prior to being appointed to the Circuit Court, he served in the Wisconsin legislature from 1999 to 2010 where he was Wisconsin’s first Latino State Representative.
While in the Assembly he served on the Judiciary Committee and three terms on the Joint Finance Committees.
